Michelangelo is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Baluchistan, Pakistan. This particular marble is processed using the most modern wire saws and the latest Italian equipment for optimum results. Rich gold movement intertwined with lighting bolt white quartz veins against a charcoal black surface give this marble its own unique design. Due to these qualities, this marble will vary between shipments. It is a common characteristic for this stone to have voids in the raw material. Before it reaches the polishing stages, these voids are filled with a polyester resin. Depending on how deep the void is, the resin may shrink as it dries, which will leave the surface of the filled area slightly lower than the rest. This does not affect the durability, maintenance or beauty of the stone.
