Description

Ostrich Grey Quartzite is a metamorphic stone evolved from a sandstone, which also classifies it as a sedimentary stone. Unlike others, this quartzite has a honed surface, offering a unique texture and appearance. Ostrich Grey lacks iron minerals that have the potential for rusting and is much denser than others, making it one of the few quartzite products that is suitable for wet applications. As a natural stone product it is recommended that it be sealed to extend its longevity. Due to the nature of the tumbled finish, a stone-enhancing sealer will accentuate the natural colors in the stone that may be subdued after going through the tumbling process. There will be noticeable variations in color and movement between pieces. Therefore, it is recommended that a range of this product be viewed before purchasing.
