There were so many exceptional new products at Arizona Tile in 2024 that a recap is well-deserved! Be it marble, quartzite, porcelain, or quartz, this past year presented so many stone and tile options to love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designing a space isn\u2019t always the easiest thing: from choosing colors that inspire you, to patterns that delight you, and practical placement, there is a lot to consider. That\u2019s why at Arizona Tile, we like adding to our extensive inventory so you can find just what you\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marble<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Marble holds a high aesthetic value and its historic uses exude an elegance and sophistication that\u2019s hard to parallel. Since ancient times, marble has been a display of wealth and beauty, especially because of its difficult quarrying process. While it\u2019s far more accessible today, thanks to modern techniques and distribution channels, marble still holds great value in its beauty. With that said, perhaps you simply prefer marble in your design because of aesthetic preferences or the luxurious feel it wraps you in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we presented to you Dolomite White and Split. While dolomite is actually a natural stone of its own, it is sometimes referred to as \u201chard marble.\u201d One of the only downfalls of marble<\/a> is that its composition is more porous than other natural stones. Some varieties are more dense than others, but, in general, it\u2019s softer and requires more care. Dolomite can negate some of the worry as it presents like marble but is a more dense stone. Dolomite White<\/a> comes in eight different sizes; it is honed, multi-finished, or polished; and it can be used residentially for interior floors and walls, exterior cladding, around fireplaces<\/a>, and shower walls and floors (certain selections). This stone has subtle white, linear veining that gracefully accentuates its white background, giving it an elegant appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Split<\/a> is another natural stone product available in limestone, marble, and travertine. Split creates a more rustic appearance than the sleek slabs and tile we are used to and can truly highlight an area. Its 4\u201d x 16\u201d sections create an enticing appearance and can be used commercially and residentially, on interior walls, and even on shower walls. It can also be used on exterior walls, but installers must be mindful of freezing\/thawing conditions as some selections don\u2019t do well in that environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quartz<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Quartz has been a very popular countertop surface, and rightfully so: it is heat resistant, stain resistant, chip resistant, non-porous, easy to maintain, and appropriate for a high-traffic space. Kitchen countertops get lots of use, so this surface truly needs to be durable, and quartz is. Quartz differs from our other slab options because it is a fabricated surface. Though it consists of up to 94% quartz, the hardest mineral in nature, it is then mixed with technologically advanced polymers. This man-made component takes away its porosity and makes it ultra-durable\u2014sounds like a win-win!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we added Cotton to our Della Terra\u00ae Quartz<\/a> collection. Cotton<\/a> is a pure white quartz that offers a clean look and the versatility of endless design combinations. Its crisp, clean attributes will complement any space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quartzite<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We just talked about quartz and how it is a fabricated surface, but quartzite is its natural stone counterpart\u2014and we brought several new options to our showroom this year! Quartzite slabs<\/a> make luxurious countertops and are renowned for beauty and exceptional durability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
