On our blog, we often talk about the hot new trends that are happening in the tile and interior design industry. Usually we keep it pretty general. We thought it might be interesting to get more specific, so we contacted a few stores to find out what is hot in different Arizona Tile locations. This will be a regular feature on the Arizona Tile blog in the future, but today we begin with Scottsdale. Anna Drew is a Showroom Consultant and she filled us in on what is hot in Arizona.

I feel that we get a lot of requests for mosaic glass and porcelain used in unique new ways. Customers seem to love the mix of glass and stone as well as fun new shapes or patterns that can be used on walls, entryways and backsplashes. We are excited to get the new arabesque shape in all the pretty colors so clients can design with a modern twist on a classic design. The all-white kitchen and bathroom is very trendy and people love to combine the solid surface quartz with marble backsplashes in kitchens to provide both durability and a classic look. All marble baths are extremely popular and are now being shown in more modern ways. The wood look porcelain is becoming increasingly more popular as customers start to realize that is not just a trend, but a very durable product that will stand the test of time. We get a lot of requests for richer colors and have had a lot of positive responses to the new Club series. It has what I like to call ‘the reclaimed’ look and has such a beautiful texture that clients are wowed that it’s not actual wood! It is always exciting to reveal new products to the public and our 2014 launch has been a success so far and will continue to satisfy any client or designer’s needs.

H-Line Cafe Ceramic Tile

Both Subway and plank tile are still going strong and Grey and Taupe are the hot colors right now.

White marbles are hot, both for countertops and floors. What can be more timeless than white marble? It goes with everything.

Bianco Carrara Natural Stone Marble

Textured Beveled and 3D looks like our Scabos 3-D Mesh Mount Stack are very popular. They create a great texture to your walls and would make a lovely fireplace surround.
