On our blog, we often talk about the hot new trends that are happening in the tile and interior design industry. We thought it might be fun to find out what is popular in our Arizona Tile location in Prescott, AZ. Jody Garard is our Showroom Manager and she filled us in on what is hot in her area.

“The trends we are seeing are contemporary for sure, but in high-country areas like Prescott we do a twist: Rustic-Contemporary”  she says.

“The colors we are seeing are grey, grey and more grey but not the cold hard greys of the past. Warmer taupe and creams mixed in are what is hot.”

“The shapes have changed too. Rectangles and wood look-alike planks on floors are more popular than the square shaped tiles of the past.”

“Stackstone splashes & feature walls are being used to create a focal point in rooms. Glass stacks in mass for a full-on contemporary look and glass sprinkled into the stone or porcelain mosaics for that contemporary/rustic feel are what we are seeing. The look features clean, sharp lines and very few if any tumbled edges.”
