Belgian Blue is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Belgium. This is a sedimentary stone that is formed in shallow seas and is composed mainly of calcite calcium carbonate. Belgian Blue is produced in three different widths and random lengths. In order to achieve the unique look of Belgian Blue, there is a lot of hand work that has to be performed using Old World techniques. There is no right or wrong way to install this random length limestone. Due to the multiple color tones and finishes, it is recommended that a dry set layout be done and approved before installation to achieve the desired look. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that it be sealed to extend its longevity. In addition, because this limestone is very porous, a sealer or grout release must be used before grouting. Miracle Sealants “Porous Plus” is what we recommend to be applied 24 hours before grouting. This will make grouting easier and the clean up faster.

Please note, this product is sold by the full crate only. There are two crate sizes available, containing either: 204 sf or 330 sf.
