Chellah Grey Limestone
Chellah Grey is quarried from a bedrock quarry near the town of Thala in Tunisia. Occasionally this limestone will contain some hair line quartz veining. These veins are a natural characteristic of the material and does not compromise the integrity of the stone. This is a sedimentary stone that is formed in shallow seas and is composed mainly of calcite calcium carbonate. One of the unique characteristics of this limestone is the existence of some small shells and fossils that may appear throughout the tile or slabs. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that it be sealed to extend its longevity.
