Mexican Noce Tumbled Versailles
16 sq ft. per pattern
Mexican Noce Tumbled Versailles is composed of Mexican Noce travertine, which is quarried near Torreon, Mexico. This is a sedimentary stone that is formed in hot springs and is composed of calcite calcium carbonate. All travertine stones will have natural cavities, or pits, visible in the stone that developed when carbon dioxide bubbles became trapped during the formation of the stone. As an unfilled travertine, the pits will remain visible and unfilled until they are filled with grout during installation. Overall, this will provide a more natural aesthetic to the installation of the stone. Due to the nature of the tumbled finish, a stone enhancing sealer will help to accentuate the natural colors in the stone that may be subdued after going through the tumbling process.
However, the slabs for this travertine are produced filled, unlike the tile that are unfilled. There will be noticeable variations in color and movement between pieces. Therefore, it is important and recommended that a range of this product be viewed before finalizing a purchase. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that it be sealed to extend its longevity.
