For the Hartland project, we are going to focus on the kitchen and primary bathroom, where they have displayed many of our exceptional products: Volcano granite; Della Terra® Quartz; Vetri, Canyon, Marvel, and Borgo porcelain tile; and CS-Skyline Honed marble.
Kitchen Remodeling
Let’s start with the heart of the home: the kitchen. In this stunning remodel, the designers at Mariano & Co. knew precisely how to pair quality materials from flooring to countertops, cabinets to backsplash, and not an ounce of detail was overlooked.
To accomplish a high-contrast contemporary feel, designers incorporated some of our favorite products: Volcano granite, Della Terra® Quartz, Vetri Bronzo 4×12, and Canyon Ivory 24×48. When their client fell in love with our Volcano granite, the lead designer found other high-quality Arizona Tile products with complementary colors and textures to masterfully showcase a stunning kitchen.

Where it all started… with Volcano granite. Volcano contains quartz, mica, feldspar, garnet, and biotite, with the shiny flecks of mica giving this stone a dramatic and unique look. With a rich black background, ribbons of white, grey, beige, brown, and orange are lavishly displayed. This blend of color creates a riveting appearance, not only as a stunning waterfall kitchen island but also as a luxurious full backsplash behind the cooktop. Granite is a durable natural stone that has earned its excellent reputation by proving its strength and durability throughout the ages.
For the remainder of the backsplash, they chose Vetri Bronzo 4×12 porcelain tile, which is a soft, elegant beige tile with darker edges that create the illusion of a pillowed, textural surface. Porcelain has been a top tile choice for ages, and that’s simply because of its long list of benefits, including: a lack of porosity; high resistance to staining, scratching, and water damage; design versatility, and being very easy to maintain.

For the countertops, they went with a lovely neutral white Della Terra® Quartz slab that features soft veining and the allure of natural stone. Quartz is a great product to use in high-traffic areas because of its durability and exceptional longevity.
Lastly, Canyon Ivory 24×48 porcelain large-format tile was selected for the kitchen, and was also used throughout the whole home because of its modern, refreshing, and warm features as an alternative to wood plank. If wood-plank flooring is your preference, we have lots of great porcelain options that look like real wood planks, minus the maintenance. Our Canyon series mimics the look of slate so closely that it has the appearance of tonal variations and saw-cut effects. The large-format option adds an expansive feel and is easier to maintain than smaller tile because there are fewer grout lines—win, win!
Primary Bathroom Tile
Carrying similarities to the primary bathroom, this design maintained the same porcelain flooring, Canyon Ivory, paired with a quartz countertop. While the tile used here has a standard finish, the Canyon series is also available in an R11 Anti-Slip Finish, a practical option for wet or outdoor environments where extra grip is needed. This finish is visually undetectable but adds traction to help reduce the risk of slips – ideal for applications like shower floors, patios, or pool areas.

Creating spa-like features in the primary bathroom has been an upward trend, and we can see it here in the shower: the rainfall showerhead, the built-in bench, the natural light, the natural stone, and even the added greenery. First, the lovely natural marble hexagonal floor tile exudes organic beauty. CS-Skyline delights in many shapes and sizes, but the 4” hexagonal selection really shows off its warm hues of cream, taupe, and brown. Moving up to the wall, they selected Marvel Fior Di Bosco Matte 24×48 porcelain tile. Again, going with the large-format size emphasizes the feel of the space and creates an elegant look. While this is a porcelain product, its visual aesthetic is inspired by the opulence of the most precious marbles of Italian tradition.

This shower is complete with a built-in bench to relax on after a hard day’s work. Sitting there, enjoying the peace and tranquility of your luxurious bathroom space is nothing short of heaven. The bench displays Borgo Luce 12×24 porcelain tile that emulates a French limestone in a soft, sandy hue. Imagine gazing up at the limestone rocks with your feet in the sand along the Mediterranean, like at Les Calanques de Cassis, Provence, yet being in your private bathroom… it sounds perfect, and so is this shower.
