3/4" (2cm slab- polished)
Arabescato Belgia is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Carrara, Italy and is one of the many white marbles produced in this area. However, during the winter months, many of the quarries are shut down for a period of time because of the harsh conditions of snow and ice. This white marble is from the Belgia Quarry thus the name, Arabescato Belgia. It is somewhat limited in its availability since it comes from a smaller selection of the blocks within the quarry. The veining movement and background tone will change from shipment to shipment. Due to the qualities of the stone, the slabs are book-matched; meaning slab one and slab two will be cut and polished to create a mirror image of each other. These are then kept in sequence, which allows for a consistent flow in pattern. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that it be sealed to extend its longevity.
