Vermont Danby Quarry

Our Vermont marble products come from Vermont Quarries Corp, which operates the Vermont Danby Quarry. This gallery quarry is more than 100 years old and is the largest underground marble quarry in the world. Both the quarry and the factory (which produces up to 4,000 square feet of slabs per day) are located inside Dorset Mountain.

A Versatile Marble

Danby Marble is a Class A marble, as determined by the Marble Institute of America, making it a highly suitable material for a wide array of applications, including interior, exterior, walls, flooring, walkways, and more.

Danby marble has been used for over 100 years in many large commercial projects, proving to be durable and reliable. Its warm, classic look offers a uniquely beautiful appearance – one of the many reasons it’s becoming increasingly popular in home interior design projects. In addition, its low absorption rate makes it an especially great choice for kitchens.
