Ravello texture tiles are distinguished by their grooved lines, which can be oriented vertically or horizontally. The unidirectional lines are engineered to be installed following a specified groove direction, ensuring dynamic light and shadow effects. Adhering to the recommended installation orientation is crucial, as any deviation will lead to noticeable inconsistencies in texture and overall aesthetic.
Basalt: Basalt, a dark and fine-grained igneous rock, is formed when liquid magma from volcanoes cools to form solid rock. The Basalt is offered in a Flow finish which looks similar to a combed textured surface. There can be noticeable variances between pieces, so it is important and recommended that a range of this product be viewed before finalizing a purchase. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that this be sealed to extend its longevity. Because this Basalt is very porous a sealer or grout release must be used before grouting. Miracle Sealants Porous Plus sealer is what we recommend be applied 24 hours before grouting. This will make grouting easier and the clean up faster.
Carrara: Piece to piece variation in shade or color are inherent in all natural stone products; therefore, when installing natural stone tile, it is recommended to mix tiles from several boxes at a time during installation to achieve the best range of color. As natural stone products, it is recommended that these be sealed to extend their longevity.
When installing white marble, you must use a white thinset; using grey thinset will leave trowel lines and could stain the marble.
