Elizabeth Aubuchon with Wamhoff Design Build is a former teacher who gave up that profession to satisfy her passion for interior design. She has spent the last seven years “… helping clients fall in love with their homes.” She made her dream come true by helping others achieve the vision they have for their own homes.

Her favorite part of the interior design process is working with her clients to turn their needs, desires, and dreams into a satisfying reality. Watching their vision turn into a livable space they love? There’s nothing as satisfying for this dedicated designer!

We hope you enjoy Elizabeth’s recent project below, and you can visit their website and instagram and to view more projects and get design inspiration.

Project background

Newly remodeled kitchen from Wamhoff Design Build using Arizona Tile

Elizabeth described the overall aesthetic of her design for this home as “Trendy Transitional” and she appears to have nailed it! It isn’t always easy to merge the traditional and the contemporary in order to create the perfect blend in a transitional design. However, Elizabeth managed to create a timeless and classic design with her choices of materials, colors, and finishes. She even managed to inject a little extra pop of trendy!

A Sleek And Trendy Kitchen Renovation

This boring, builder-grade kitchen was transformed into a stylish, contemporary cooking and living space under Elizabeth’s skilled direction. The long, glossy hexagonal Paloma Cotton tile she used for the backsplash perfectly complements the rich blue cabinets. The client’s beautiful open floating shelves crafted from chunky stained wood look stunning against this glossy white backdrop.

The fine veining within our Silver Stallion Della Terra® Quartz gives the white countertops movement and life. This movement, along with the blue cabinets, brass hardware, wooden shelves, and ceiling beams keep this sleek and contemporary kitchen looking anything but cold and lifeless!

Elizabeth says this fun renovation transformed this formerly bland and boring kitchen. In fact, she expects the homeowners to enjoy entertaining family and friends in it for many years to come.

A Refreshing New Laundry Room

Who wants to do laundry in a stodgy, uninteresting room? Not this client! Elizabeth added color, pattern, and interest to this laundry room. The client may even want to linger in this formerly uninspired space to enjoy the Cementine Black & White tile on the floor.

This gorgeous series is available in a choice of five intricate designs (or a random mixture of multiple designs). This allowed Elizabeth to create a fabulous floor that perfectly suited her client’s taste and design aesthetic. Doing laundry will never seem like such an uninviting chore again now that the laundry room has undergone this refreshing transformation!

Breathing Life Into A Tired Fireplace

Since a home is also the homeowner’s castle, shouldn’t it feel regal? Elizabeth may have had this concept in mind when she chose Castle Brick White for the fireplace surround. This Italian-made porcelain tile can make any fireplace look and feel special.

Even the most dated fireplace will feel fresh and new when our Castle Brick series is used for the surround. This series mimics the texture of painted brick so perfectly it complements the earthy feelings associated with fire and brick.

Why Arizona Tile

When Elizabeth was asked about the impact Arizona Tile products made in this home, she replied, “Quite the transformation! Arizona Tile products updated and enhanced this home.” She said her client loved the clean, contemporary, and sleek look of the products.

As a bonus, many of the products she used contained pre-consumer recycled content. In fact, the Paloma Cotton tile used for the backsplash in this modern kitchen contained at least 65% of this recycled content. Now, she and her client must be pleased about that!
