Barcelona is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Vigo, Spain. This granite is quarried in large blocks with a consistent structure and is abundantly available, thus making it ideal for large projects. It is a coarse-grain granite that remains consistent from shipment to shipment. Black spots ranging from the size of a dime, to the size of a fifty cent piece, will be present in this granite. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that this be sealed to extend its longevity.
