There are many types of tile flooring to beautifully accentuate your bathroom, but have you considered textured tile? Textured tile offers a distinct visual dimension, whether through subtle patterns, surface variations, or physical texture. From playful shapes to layered colors, textured tile adds dimension and personality to a bathroom, proving that everyday spaces can be as beautiful as they are practical.
Textured tile can be used on many surfaces, including floors, walls, and in showers. All of our textured tile has various recommended uses, but all work together to deliver a wow-inspiring bathroom.
Why Textured Tile?
Texture can add comfort and beauty through its patterns and, sometimes, offers a tactile element as well. Its depth and dimension only add to the character with ambience and gentle appeal.
Textured bathroom tile can be mixed with other, non-textured tile to create a focal area that really steals the show. Or you can opt for all textured tile in your bathroom design and mix tile series, colors, and patterns that look great together. With each textured tile series, we offer something for every bathroom design concept and personal preference.
Colors & Patterns
Textured tile is far from “one size fits all.” It’s available in a wide breadth of colors, shapes, and patterns. It can be large-format or small, intricate pieces, and can be used on floors, walls, and in the shower.

The tile in the bathroom above is full of both visual and physical texture. Each area incorporates different colors and materials while maintaining unity through the hexagonal shape. Lagos Mud porcelain used on the bathroom floor presents a cool, grey/brown hue that mimics the look of natural limestone, and is paired with CS-Bianco Venatino marble on the shower floor that has a multi-finish surface. Small tile is often recommended for the shower floor due to installation considerations, but also because there are more grout lines to improve natural grip on the wet surface. CS-Bianco Venatino Multi Finish 2×2 Hex is a combination of multiple finishes, which adds a physical texture as well.
While these two tile selections vary in several capacities—one is natural marble and the other is porcelain, and one is a darker grey/brown while the other is white with grey veining. Despite these differences, they meld together harmoniously, encompassing earthly hues and a sense of peacefulness.

When it comes to textured bathroom floors, there’s a wide range of options to choose from. One standout is our Canyon series porcelain tile. With its multi-use, slate-inspired appearance, Canyon fits a wide variety of design styles and is available in four colors, two finishes, and multiple sizes, making it both versatile and visually striking.

When selecting your shower floor tile, there are two things you want to keep in mind. First, it should look good and complement the other design elements of the bathroom space. And second, it should be practical. Plain and simple.
The Aequa porcelain series is designed to emulate reclaimed wood while displaying the warmth of timeworn material that has taken on new colors and distinctions over time. This excellent display of movement and colors offers a familiar visual texture, just like natural wood. However, because it’s porcelain, it’s very durable and easy to maintain. In the image above, you’ll see the Aequa series used across the bathroom, with a clever twist: the main floor is in the standard finish, but the shower floor uses the same color in the R11 Anti-Slip Finish. The result? A seamless look you’ll love, with the extra grip you need on floors in wet spaces like showers and wet rooms.

In this gorgeous bathroom, a more minimalistic vibe is present with soft texture, gentle color, and consistency. This was achieved by displaying CS-Calacatta Gris Honed Lotus marble throughout. The natural veining in this stone adds visual depth, and the honed finish provides a soft, understated sheen. Together, these elements create a seamless, yet subtly textured tile bathroom floor serving as the perfect focal point for the space.
Textured Bathroom Wall Tile
Wall tile, be it in the shower or main bathroom space, is an element that shouldn’t be overlooked. Fluida mimics a natural stone, displaying layers of minerals accumulated over time to create visually fascinating patterns. This porcelain tile is great as flooring, on the wall, and in the shower. We see in the next picture that this design displays Fluida as the textured tile on both the floor and wall. Art is hung on the wall, right? So, what better place to display this meticulously crafted porcelain than on the wall of your bathroom or shower?

To love textured tile doesn’t mean you have to incorporate a large quantity—even with modest use, a delightful accent wall can be a stunning feature. Curve says it all. Inspired by traditional craftsmanship with an added contemporary twist, this three-dimensional porcelain features a matte color background and raised curve design, with an off-white color glaze. To have even more fun with it, rotate the pattern of the tile for an added textural effect.
